Carelo for teams considering Nourish

Updated 10 September 2026 · Written by Carelo

Nourish is one of the most established digital care platforms in the UK and is used across residential and home care. Many of the agencies that talk to us are on it today. This page is not a takedown; it is the questions we think a domiciliary care provider should ask, and our answers.

What Carelo is, in one paragraph

Carelo is care management software built only for UK domiciliary care. One live record per service user carries the rota, electronic call monitoring, eMAR, care notes, incidents, body maps, respite, documents and reviews. The office works on the operations board and the Matrix of compliance grids; carers work in a free app with GPS check-in and offline recording; families have their own free app. Pricing is public, from £59 a month by carer band, with unlimited service users and unlimited office logins on every plan, and Carelo AI as an optional add-on.

The questions to ask both of us

AskCarelo's answer
Is the price public?Yes. Every band is on the pricing page: from £59 a month for up to 15 carers to £249 for unlimited. No quote needed.
Any per-client or per-login charges?None. Unlimited service users and unlimited named office logins on every plan. The carer and family apps are free.
Is home care the focus?Entirely. Runs, travel between calls, double-handed calls, overnight calls, ECM and council-style invoicing are the core of the product, not a variant of a care home system.
Does a double-up count as two carers' time?Yes: two seats on one visit, both carers check in, client and company hours count it twice, each carer's timesheet once.
Offline on the carer's phone?Yes. Check-ins, medication and notes are held on the phone without signal and sent when it returns, without duplicates.
Where is the data?AWS London (eu-west-2), each company's data kept apart at the database level. The detail is on the trust page.
What does moving cost?Nothing. We migrate clients, carers, schedules and records from a Nourish export, verified side by side against the source before you switch. How migration works.
Can I try it first?Yes: demo logins on a full working company, or a 20-minute live walkthrough. Book a demo.

Where Carelo is a strong fit

  • Agencies that want the rota, the ECM and the care record in one place, with one price, rather than modules priced separately.
  • Teams whose commissioners pay on delivered minutes, who need planned-versus-actual on every call and an export the council accepts.
  • Providers with a lot of double-handed and overnight work, where the rota model matters to safety and the invoice.
  • Owners who want the cost known before the conversation starts.

Where it may not be

  • If you run care homes as well as home care and want one supplier for both, ask us about it on the demo before assuming.
  • If you rely on a specific integration your current platform provides, name it on the demo and we will tell you plainly whether Carelo has it.

How switching from Nourish works

You export your data from Nourish; we load it into a Carelo company for you and verify every client, carer and weekly schedule against the export, call by call, before you go live. You keep your Nourish access until you are happy. Migration is free on every plan. The migration page describes the steps and what we need from you.

Questions we are asked

Is Carelo cheaper than Nourish?

We publish our prices, from £59 a month, so you can compare them against whatever quote you have. Compare the total for your carer count, including any per-client, per-login or app charges on the other side, not the headline.

Can we run both during the switch?

Yes. Keep your current system until the verified Carelo rota matches it, then switch on a date you choose.

Do carers need new phones?

No. The Carelo carer app runs on the iPhone or Android phone they already carry and is free to install.
